Hi, I’m Elena

I have been teaching English to English language learners for the past 21 years. Prior to establishing EwE English with Elena I was a primary school teacher. I also enjoyed a teaching assignment in the United Arab Emirates in 2012, upon return I established EwE . 

 I have taught students ages 4 to 87 from pre-kindergarten through post graduate here in the United States and abroad. I was born in Los Angeles, California USA. After college I worked in the travel industry later changing to a career in education. I hold a California Multiple Subject teaching Credential from Chapman University in Orange California, USA supported by a Masters of Education with an emphasis in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Grand Canyon University (Online Campus) Arizona, USA.

The EwE focus is developing conversational fluency with 85% aural and reading comprehension using Individualized Conversational English Dialogs that establish usage of common American English phraseology, idioms and vocabulary in context, using Cisco Webex state of the art technology for interactive video conferencing.
